Meet and Greet
FREE
30 minute consultation.
A Meet and Greet appointment offers you the opportunity to come and meet with Carolyn, have a quick chat about your current mental health & emotional well-being concerns and to have a look around the counselling studio for FREE. There is no obligation to book any further appointments.
A Meet and Greet appointment is also available for those who wish to attend the Rainbow Obsidian Group but may have social anxiety around going to a new place and meeting new people.
Individual Counselling
$80*
Full 1 hour counselling session.
No Minimum or Maximum Sessions: the choice is yours on how many sessions you would like to attend and how often.
Together we will explore what is currently impacting on your mental health and emotional well-being. You are the expert in your life, but maybe just need to see/hear this from a different perspective. We tailor our therapeutic technique to meet your goals. Counse the more you engage in the therapeutic process, the more beneficial it will be for you.
Relationship Counselling
$160*
Full 1 hour counselling session.
Relationship Counselling is for any type of relationships that may be impacted with any concerns that are affecting the relationship. Some examples of relationships include: partners, siblings, friends, parent and child.
Couples Counselling is for partners who wish to learn how to communicate better, listen openly and explore any issues that may be affecting their relationship.
Youth Counselling 15-18 years
$60*
Full 1 hour counselling session.
Individual counselling for those aged between 15 and 18 years**.
**Counselling and therapy available for those between 15 and 18 years upon request and is dependent on the clients ability to understand informed consent through Gillick Competence or with primary caregivers signed consent. Please contact Carolyn for more information.

Rainbow Obsidian LGBTQ+ 25 Plus Group
$15
Every Monday from 5pm to 7pm, a therapeutic support group for those 25 and over from the Diverse Sexuality and Gender Communities and those questioning or exploring their sexual-orientation or gender.
Expressive Art Therapy format.
NO artistic talent required, it's about the process

Individual Long Counselling Session

90 minute session.
Sometimes you may need a longer session than usual, this type of appointment will be booked in consultation with your Counsellor.
Behaviour Change Program
$240*
4 x 60 minute session.
• 4 week individually tailored program
• $60/week or discounted to $200 if paid in full at the start
• Available from the 4th January 2021

Who Am I Workshop

4 week expressive art therapy group workshop exploring 'Who Am I?'
We all wear masks, but who do we show the world and who do we hide? Over 4 weeks we will explore through expressive art 'Who Am I?'
NO artistic talents required, it's about the process NOT the finished product.

- Appointments are available face to face, in person at the Obsidian Counselling Studio in Nambour.
- You DO NOT need a mental health care plan from your doctor to make an appointment, you can self-refer.

- If you cannot find a suitable time, please book the closest day and time then email obsidian.counselling@gmail.com with your preferred time, there is some flexibility between clients due to our Covid-19 response
• ONLINE E-Counselling •
Online E-Counselling via Zoom sessions are available upon request and only for existing clients. Please contact the Obsidian Studio on 0424850453.
• PRIVATE HEALTH FUNDS •
Rebates are available from private health funds for members with the following funds who have appropriate cover:
Medibank:
Do you have 'extras' cover with Medibank?
~ If yes, check your current policy to see if it covers "Mental health support".
~ If yes again, as an eligible provider for Medibank, you can receive a rebate on counselling services provided through Obsidian Counselling.
ahm:
Do you have 'extras' cover with ahm?
~ If yes, check your current policy to see if it includes "Counselling".
If yes again, Obsidian Counselling is now an eligible provider for ahm, and you can receive a rebate on counselling services provided through Obsidian Counselling.
Limits from your private health fund apply, please check your eligibility limit.

Please Note:
- All fees must paid in full prior to session commencement.
- Sliding scale of fees may be available depending upon individual circumstances.
- Rebates are available from Medibank and ahm private health care funds
- Medicare rebates are not available
- All prices are inclusive of GST.
Cancellation Policy:
- If you are unable to keep your appointment, please contact us via text message on 0424 850 453 as soon as possible.
- A cancellation fee will be applied if less than 24 hours notice of cancellation is received.
